SLEWING DRIVES
- The WGWEA Series comprises a slewing ring with a true worm gear mounted in a casing with an hour-glass shaped worm shaft mounted on a common platform for higher torque applications.
- The gearing is protected from the elements by a cast iron housing and improved sealing arrangement.
- New for 2024 is the introduction of the “twin-scroll” series which feature a different worm shaft that effectively halves the reduction ratio while making the gearing reversible (or non-self-locking) – eliminating the “stick-slip effect” encountered in some applications.
